The Keepers of Coursen Corners are Seeking People Interested In Preserving the History of This Area

The Keepers of Coursen Corners would enjoy showing you around the Col.John Coursen Homestead, a living history landmark in Fredon NJ on the corner of Route 94 and Stillwater Road at the entrance to Lodestar Park. The Keepers (organized by Ginny Richardson of Fredon in 2001 to keep the House from demolition) are seeking people interested preserving the history of this area for membership or as a helper at events. If you have an “old-time” skill such as weaving, spinning, needlework, open hearth cooking or carpentry we would love to hear from you! Perhaps you have more modern communications and/or organizational skills, maybe you play the fiddle and/or like 18th & 19th century clothing - we dress in period appropriate garb for events and have period music by local musicians....

If this sounds like something you would enjoy please email CCKeepers@gmail.com or text 973-997-8862 for more information or to arrange an informal meeting & tour of the Coursen House with a Keepers member.

Monthly meetings are the Second Monday of each month at the Coursen House at 2:00pm, visitors are welcome! (evening meetings can be arranged for interested prospects).
