FREDON TOWNSHIP LAND USE BOARD

July 18, 2022

 

MEMBERS PRESENT:      Andrews, Boland, Holenstein, Lazzaro, Prommel, and Rome

MEMBERS ABSENT:         Boyle, Conklin, Deitz, Erb, Passafaro, and Wilcox

ALSO PRESENT:                None                                              

Mr. Boland called the meeting to order at 7:30 P. M. with the statement that this meeting is in compliance with the Open Public Meetings Act, Public Law 1975, Chapter 231, Sections 4 and 13, as advertised by Annual Notice in The New Jersey Herald.  If the applicant is a partnership or corporation, an attorney must represent it.  No new applications will be heard after 10:00 P. M.  No new testimony will be heard after 11:00 P. M.

Mr. Boland invited all present to participate in the salute to the flag.

MINUTES

Mr. Lazzaro moved acceptance of the minutes for the March 21, 2022 meeting as posted and waived reading.  Mrs. Prommel second.  Roll call vote: In favor: Prommel and Boland. Opposed: None.  So moved.

CORRESPONDENCE

As shown on the attached agenda.

RESOLUTIONS

Christopher Rudeau Application #530-2022, Block 404, Lot 26.05,  “C” Variance

Ms. Prommel motioned to approve the Resolution for a “C” Variance for Christopher Rudeau as decided by the Board at the March 21, 2022 meeting. Mr. Boland second. Roll call vote: In favor: Prommel and Boland. Opposed: None. So moved.

OTHER BUSINESS

Solar Ordinance and In-Law Suite Ordinance

A discussion was held on the Solar and In-Law Suite ordinances. It was decided to wait until more Board members were present to finalize the ordinances before sending them to the Township Committee for approval.

Short Term Rental/14 Westbrook Rd.

Mr. Jim Weber, President Westview Estates Homeowner’s Association, along with Mr. Don Ciccolella, 21 Westbrook Rd, came forward to discuss the issues they are having with the short term rental property at 14 Westbrook Rd.  A discussion was held regarding the neighborhood issues related to short term rentals of this property, as well as safety issues involving short term rentals in general. Mr. Lazzaro agreed to discuss this issue with the Township Committee to determine what action can be taken.

LIAISON REPORTS

Township Committee

Mr. Lazzaro stated that it has been relatively quiet in the Township lately, therefore there is nothing to report.

Environmental Committee

No representation. No Report.

There being no further business before the Board, a motion was made to adjourn at 8:15 P. M.  All in favor.  So moved.
