URGENT: Fredon Recreation Events Are at Risk — We Need YOU

Dear Fredon Township Residents,

Do you look forward to Fredon Day, Breakfast with Santa, Breakfast with the Easter Bunny, or Trunk or Treat every year? So do we — and so do your neighbors and their children.

But here's the hard truth: these beloved community events will NOT happen without your help.

The Fredon Township Recreation Commission requires a minimum of 7 members to operate. Right now, we need at least 4 new volunteers to keep the Commission — and the events you love — alive.

Meetings are once a month on the third Wednesday at 7pm.

The Recreation Commission doesn't just plan events. Members also help plan, develop, and maintain Lodestar Park and our township playground, ensuring these spaces remain safe, welcoming, and vibrant for every resident.

We're looking for people who bring something to the table — whatever that looks like for you:

  • A passion for sports or recreational programming
  • Experience in event coordination or project management
  • An interest in environmental conservation and green spaces
  • Or simply a deep love for Fredon and the people who call it home

No prior government or committee experience is required. Just a willingness to show up and make a difference.

If you are interested in joining the Recreation Commission, please fill out volunteer form or  contact the the Recreation Coordinator, Alexandra Usinowicz, [email protected]. for more information.

The deadline to fill these seats is critical. Please don't wait — reach out today.

Thank you for being part of this community.
